Boyd to be risked for Aberdeen?

After taking only one point from their previous four matches including two dismal performances in the last two weeks, Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies may be tempted to bring Kris Boyd straight into the starting line-up.

The striker, who has undergone keyhole knee surgery, was not due to return until nearer Christmas, but Jefferies may be prepared to gamble to arrest their run of poor form.

Aberdeen's resurgence under Jimmy Calderwood means that Saturday offers Killie a tough test, but it is the type of fixture where the Ayrshire side has produced their best performances this season, and the return of Boyd could give the squad the boost they require to find their best form.
