Well what a massively improved season Ayrshire's Finest are having! According to the latest statistics, the blue and whites have only lost once in the last 10 games - that game being Rangers.  The Rugby Park team were sitting 11th in the SPL this time last season compared to now which sees them reach the dizzy heights of 4th!

In addition recent meetings with St Mirren its 3 losses, 2 wins and a draw so a final win the next time would make those statistics look a lot more even.

In a game which looked to go either way, the home side more shots on goal in the first half, however none of those went into the back of the net and the visitors also had their chances too but again none turned into goals. Goals finally came into latter part of the second half and how the Buddies, rued the fact that they had missed decent chances to score first in the first half.

Kilmarnock went 1-0 up after dominating in possession after 64 minutes thanks to Liam Kelly who scored from close range via an Eremenko free kick, and then the visitors doubled their lead 15 minutes later after Craig Bryson's shot went ocver the Buddies keeper and into the net.

The home side tried to get back into the game but it was too late, full time score: St Mirren 0-2 Kilmarnock.
