Kilmarnock 1-2 Inverness CT

Last updated : 27 October 2010 By Killie Kingdom

Yet another loss and by the same score but this time to a different team - that being Inverness CT. It's getting a bit dull and depressing but what lead to that 2nd goals was an absolute shocker!

It started with the home side on the attack and dominating in possession.  2 shots for the home side came from Jamie Hamill and those were saved by Esson and Tokely respestively. Still Killie kept up the pressure on Inverness side and shots from Eremenko were saved by the Calley defence, while Sammon popped up again and this time his acute shot was saved by the Calley Keeper.

After that came a moment of madness -  Mohamadu Sissoko fouled an Inverness Calley player which lead to the referee giving the Highlanders a penalty, however on looking back at the video footage it seemed he went down a bit too easily. So the penalty was taken, Cammy Bell went the wrong way and Calley were then 1-0 up but the home side were booing. If that was not bad enough then what followed was outrageous! Some passes being contained from the forwards to midfield then when a pass was made to the defender Frazer Wright, the home side could be forgiven for feeling crestfallen.  Fright had passed the ball to the side not realising that a Calley forward had gained possession of the ball within a split millisecond and this lead of course to Calley going 2-0 up!

On the looking at the match statistics so far you won't not believe that the home side were 2-0 down but that is the way it was. Thankfully the blue and whites did manage to get a consolation goal thanks to Rui Miguel then Killie piled on the pressure for the equaliser but alas it did not come.
