KILMARNOCK 1-2 FALKIRK

Another week another loss and yet again the teams performance let the fans down as well as letting go of the chance to gain an invaluable 3 points slip away. On a freezing cold day where most would have preferred to be indoors keeping warm, the faithful turned out albeit a low turnout - just 4,472 to be exact, came to see the blue and white play a team which we were once known to beat on a regular basis.  Nowadays there is no motivation in the team with apparent fallings out in the dressing room between a few players and JJ.

The visitors opened the scoring after just 2 minutes with Finnigan first on the scoresheet, which was shortly followed by our equalizer from Invincible, this score remained until half time.  When each team goes into the break 1-1 you then know, that there is the opportunity to go on and win the game in the second half, well yet again it wasn't to be for Killie as Falkirk were determined and proved to be hungrier of the two and went on to score the winner in the 58th minute scored by Flynn.

The loss to the Bairns then means that there is only a point and two goals separating Killie with Falkirk, we are on the road next week as we travel to the City of Discovery where we face the Tangerines (a.k.a Dundee United) at Tannadice.  A tricky game but can Killie finally discover 3 points or will it be the long drive of shame back to East Ayrshire?

I always ask myself do we have any players that play with passion, care about the fact that they are playing for Scotland's Oldest Provincial Club and not the cash? Pasca is one despite the fact that he tends to get sent off a lot and I suppose Sammon could also be another.   If only we had some of the boys of '65 still around, so that they could pass on some advice and tips on how to really play for the crest, shirt and the District.
