Jambos bewitched by Golden Killie!!

Well as we had been on a run of losses it would soon be known that one day, the team from Ayrshire would be due to show true sporting prowess.  By this I mean practically put a team to the sword and on Sunday, the boys in blue and gold did just that despite the irony that it was our former gaffer Jim Jeffries team.

From the off the home side seemed to be on the attack and had the visitors on the back foot for a good chunk of the half, however the Ayrshire men showed some really neat passing and Mehdi's shot went wide as did Miguel's. Kelly also took a shot on goal and it too went wide.

The home side kept up the attack and shots from them came and went, however the man of this first half had to be Cameron Bell, the Killie goalkeeper as he was on form for this game. Saving shot after shot that came towards him from the Maroon forwards then came a moment of excellence...

Ayrshire's Finest got a free kick which after being taken ended up in a stramash in the 6 yard box, then suddenly the man that has got on the Killie's Faithful's nerves recently with his mistakes in defence - Frazer Wright pops up and puts in a cracking header! Hearts 0-1 Kilmarnock.  The whistle then blows for half time.

Second half started just as entertaining as the first with the Jambos making a few changes and wanting to get the all important equaliser.  In our last few games we have scored first but never been able to take all three points due to either drawing or losing - well this time we did it!

The home side tried and tried but they kept misfiring, not mention their pathetic fouling.  Cameron Bell was again bright eyed and bushy tailed for this half, saving shot after shot - the Killie shotstopper could not be beaten! If Frazer Wright's goal was great, this Killie's 2nd one was pure genius!

With the ball being passed from midfield, Connor Sammon caught the ball and dribbled it towards the goal, took a shot and it went over the hands of Kello the Hearts goalkeeper making it 2-0 to the men in blue and gold. It wasn't long before Eeremenko put the game to bed by scoring a brilliant 3rd from long range.

According to the statistics via the commentary - this is the highest away scoring record for Kilmarnock against Hearts since the 1930s.  In that decade Kilmarnock beat them 4-1.
