Aberdeen 0-1 Kilmarnock

Well we finally get our first win and 3 points of the season and what a way to get them! Ayrshire's Finest not only halted the Dons 100% home record but according to the match statistics, the blue and whites had the most possession also perhaps the most shots on target in an SPL game.

Both new additions Sissoko and Silva having a go but their efforts were saved. Connor Sammon was also in the mix and his confidence would be high after scoring a hat-trick against Airdrie in the CIS Cup. Tne Dons also had their chances but could not hit the target as well as Killie keeper Cameron Bell was on form and saved each effort that came towards him.

It was only into added time that Jamie Hamill came forward to put the ball into the empty net, when fed from a James Dayton cross.

Notice that the boys were playing in the home strip rather than the away strip, last used in the SPL Opener at Ibrox so could this mean that, the away strip will shortly and finally be officially unveiled shortly? Time will tell. Let's hope so.

Next Up: St Mirren - the Paisley Buddies come to the Theatre on Saturday 11th September.  After today's win over Aberdeen, hopefully we will see a better crowd getting their behinds on seats.
