Hay role vital for Killie - Invincible

The Killie midfielder scored his first goal in five years to spark the comeback which defeated Falkirk 2-1 in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday. The 29-year-old has endured a torrid time with injuries in recent seasons, but his Australian team-mate insists Hay is an invaluable member of the Killie side. Invincibile said: "Garry was outstanding last season. "This year, he has had a couple of knocks, but he is a big player for us. "Garry is an outlet down the left and gets up and down the wing. "He has started to show some great form in the last couple of matches." In-form Falkirk striker Anthony Stokes had given his team a 42nd-minute lead with his 11th goal in seven games. But, after Hay equalised in the 59th minute, a Stephen O'Donnell own goal claimed all three points for Kilmarnock. Invincibile added: "We got there in the end and did what we had to do, although it wasn't pretty at times. "We created some chances and did okay in spells, but, most importantly, we got the winning goal that put us back on track after our defeat last weekend." Invincibile also spared some praise for the Bairns, who missed out on the chance to leapfrog Kilmarnock into a top-six spot. But the 27-year-old was impressed with the Falkirk team being shaped by head coach John Hughes. Invincibile said: "They are a good team, no doubt about that. "They pass the ball around really well just like they did when we played them earlier in the season on their own ground."
