Tango quits Rugby Park over budget cuts...

According to this morning's Daily Record paper, Jimmy Calderwood has literally walked away from Kilmarnock, as a result of more budget cuts and a threat to dismiss coach Sandy Clark.  He has reportedly spoke to chairman Michael Johnson stating that his proposed cuts would threaten the chance to bring in any new players and also the fact that the cuts would not allow the club to be taken forward.

Faced with the mounting debt, MJ has already reduced the club's management team and has had to sell some of the clubs best players (nothing new there). Calderwood has also said that Johnson wanted to axe a member of his coaching staff, which he has refused to allow.

It has been predicted that Johnson will announce Kilmarnock's new manager early this week.
