After many months of keeping an eye on former Kilmarnock striker Kevin Kyle, Aberdeen finally give up the fight to sign the Scotland striker.

It has became apparent that the wage demands were an issue but Kevin has options available to him after he found out that many other clubs have joined in the race for his signature.

Kyle has said that he would like to return to the Championship and that may just be what he could get, as he has loan spells with Huddersfield, Darlington, Rochdale, Wolves and Hartlepool.

Before the season ended, Kyle went for a trial spell with Russian club Spartak Nalchik against Jim Caldwerwood's wishes however, the trial did not come to anything and resulted in Kevin being injured.

RUMOURS

1) League 1's Brentford seem to have the striker on their radar but a rumour will remain a rumour until proven FACT.

2) Former Kilmarnock Manager Jim Jeffries signed him while still in charge at Rugby Park and it is rumoured that he may be looking to keep Kyle in Scotland to play for his new side - Hearts.

Despite the rumours Kyle can confirm that he has received offers from Greek sides Xanthi and Kavala have now tabled offers.
