Hassler Decides Against Killie Gaffer Post

If there was any chance that a former world cup winner would be seen on the hallowed turf at Rugby Park, that chance has now gone because Thomas Hassler has turned down the chance to be our new manager. Family commitments are said to be behind saying no to the initial job offer of Kilmarnock Manager. Hassler had two meetings with our Chairman Michael Johnson.

OK so who are we left with? There's former player and ex-St Mirren Manager Gus MacPherson plus rumours are also heading towards former Hearts Coach Csaba Laslo as well as Paul Wright who helped Kilmarnock win the '97 Tennents Scottish Cup.

We await with interest what happens over the summer period and hope that Michael Johnson can find us the perfect or a decent manager for our beloved club.
