Cameron Bell Signs for Rangers when Embargo ends...

Today the news of what most Kilmarnock fans dreaded has finally been confirmed.

Goalkeeper Cameron Bell joins Newco Rangers next season after their transfer embargo ends on the 1st September.  The home support had hoped that he would sign for another year or two, to remain playing in the SPL but alas hopes were dashed.  Bell is known to a proportion of the home support as being a Rangers fan, so to some this news will be hurtful but won't come as a surprise.

The main factors of Cameron's choice for his move to Ibrox is, that he has been offered a chance to shot-stop for his boyhood heroes and in addition, he will be offered probably 3 or 4 times more cash, than what Kilmarnock would have offered him. Pity that Cameron sees ££££s rather than, loyality to the team that has made him the goalkeepers jersey for the last decade.

Had he stayed at Rugby Park, there would have been the opportunity of having a Testimonial Year, which his teammates James Fowler and Garry Hay have had previously, A testimonial rewards players for their loyality to the club over an established period of time, sadly despite the fac that Bell has been at the Ayrshire side for at least a decade - he will miss out on that chance.

So thank you Cameron for your service that you have given, to Ayrshire's Finest over the last decade and we wish you all the best at your new club!

Kilmarnock's next priority is to find a replacement for Cameron Bell, but who, if anyone can do step up to the mark?
