Ross County v Kilmarnock Preview

Tomorrows match at Victoria Park is the last trip to the Highlands before the split and the team are currently sitting a reasonable 8th in the league with a game in hand. Looking back at previous games, the scores between the two teams are more or less even, with one win and one draw however could tomorrow's game be another win or a certain result nobody will want to see?

Kilmarnock were unbeaten in February which is rare for a team like Kilmarnock. Despite the success in this and good performances however, it has not made one iota of a difference so far this month, as far as previous results are concerned. Two straight losses and the heaviest being against Hibernian, this statistic should be forgotten about and hope that whoever ends up as the starting XI for Ayrshire's Finest, put in a serious amount of elbow grease and a good performance from the off, so that Kilmarnock can show their away support, that it was just a blip.

Aberdeen are directly beneath us sitting on the same points and despite their awful form, you can never be sure what they will do in their game against the Jambos a Pittodrie. Why should Kilmarnock have to depend on an away win in Aberdeen, to halt their drop of a league when they are capable of winning?

News from the sidelines then and County's prolific striker Ivan Sproule is out due to the injury as is shotstopping Mark Brown. Stuart Kettlewell is suspended.  County will be welcomed but the news that Richard Brittain makes his return from his suspension.

Kilmarnock on the other hand have bigger worries. Cillian Sheridan, Captain Manuel Pascali and Rory McKeown are all out injured. Paul Heffernan is suspended but Rory McKenzie and Ross Barbour are set to return from injury.  Kris "Boomer" Boyd could see his first XI start since his return to Rugby Park.
