Rangers match re-scheduled

Killie got back on track on Saturday when the potent attack proved too much for Dunfermline. Kilmarnock created plenty of chances on Saturday, but they will have to be more clinical at Ibrox this Saturday in the re-scheduled SPL match. The match schedulers could have been kinder to Kilmarnock, but you can't shake the notion that Ranges would have been keen to have the match played as soon as possible to tuen the screw on Celtic. Assuming they win, of course.

Rangers are on a high with the return of Barry Ferguson, the jubilant thrashing of Dundee United and the quashing of Celtic and will be fierce opposition.

Kilmarnock put up a fair show on their visit to Ibrox earlier in the season, but they face a different team, both in terms of confidence and personnel this weekend. A change of formation may be required with Steven Naismith dropping into a midfield role to harry Ferguson. It is a role that he is familiar with and it is one of his most endearing qualities that even at 18, he is not afraid to mix it with the most established opponents. His running battles with Neil Lennon and Steven Pressley have brought out a protective side in all of us.

Ian Durrant will have Alex McLeish well versed in all Killie's foibles to give an extra edge to proceedings. It is a long time since Killie brought home any points from Ibrox, and it will need one of the performances of the season to end the barren run.
