Kilmarnock v St Mirren Preview

Last updated : 17 May 2013 By Killie Kingdom

This is the last game of the season so both teams will want to end on a good note - but who will it go to?

Ross Barbour joins Captain Manuel Pascali, Rory McKeown and James Dayton on the sidelines for Killie. Ross suffered a serious injury during the loss to Hibernian.  This is thought to be a ankle ligament and he could me out for up to eight weeks.

St Mirren have decided that Steven Thompson will not feature in the final away game, due to the fact that he is one yellow card away from facing suspension. They do however have Kenny McLean and Paul McGowan back in the squad.

Recent game statistics show that between these two sides, there has been one win for Kilmarnock and two draws. Within the last six weeks however, Kilmarnock have had just one win and one draw compared to the Paisley Buddies, who have faired slightly better with  five draws and one loss.

A win for St Mirren will have no affect or bearing on their league position, though a win for Kilmarnock - provided Aberdeen loss their game against Hearts at Pittodrie could see the Ayrshire men return to 7th place.
