KILLIE STARS INSPIRE SCOTLAND VICTORY

All five of the Kilmarnock contingent made an appearance in the Scotland Futures victory over Poland on Tuesday night.

Gary MacDonald made the starting eleven for the first time in a month and scored the opening goal after having been denied twice in the half. He loked to have opened the scoring midway through the half when he and Boyd buoyed for a loose ball and he slammed the ball into the corner only for the linesman to rule offside. And the corner from which he eventually did score came about from his great strike from the edge of the box which the keeper did well to turn around the post. But he wasn't too frustrated as he climbed brilliantly to nod some ex-Ayr player's far post cross into the net.

Gordon Greer had a storming game at centre half, snuffing out the pacey Polish striker and meaning that second half keeper Alan Combe hardly had to dirty his gloves.

Thankfully with Sunday's huge match against a rejuvenated Rangers
coming up, none of the Killie crew seemed to pick up any injuries and will hopefully be available for the weekend.
Garry Hay also had an accomplished display and certainly didn't look out of place while Kris Boyd played with vigour and was unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet.
