Kilmarnock have announced an extended 3 year shirt sponsorship deal with McLellands Cheese.

Chairman Jamie Moffat said "We are delighted to continue our excellent relationship with McLellands, they have been more than just a sponsor to us."

McLellands are keen to continue the "Seriously Strong" partnership with Kilmarnock as the company originated in the town. Sales director Jim McGregor confirmed "Seriously Strong has become synonymous with Kilmarnock. we currently have a advertising campaign which features the club which will shortly be seen in England, so we feel it is right to continue to support the team."

The club confirmed that it a more lucrative deal for the club which will allow Jim Jefferies a summer shopping budget.

"We have a three year plan to get back to a break even situation, but we have allocated a transfer budget. This deal is significant as it allows us to maintain that budget."

The financial picture is looking better for the club, as the Park Hotel is continuing to thrive, and another major sponsorship deal is expected to be announced next week. Missing out on the Top Six meant a loss of revenue, but the final day of the season also saw the club's pocket picked.

As Jamie Moffat said, "We were starting to budget for the Clyde money (from the SPL Groundshare agreement). At half-time on the last day of the season, we were in eigth position and Clyde were coming up, but at the end we were in tenth and Clyde had missed out. The Clyde cash wold have been the windfall to make up for missing out on the Top Six."
