Killie were totally outplayed and outfought by a determined Dundee Utd team who deserved to win by a larger margin.
Dundee Utd's Barry Robson opened the scoring on the 31st minute, Noel Hunt played in the midfielder and after evading the attentions of Frazer Wright, Robson fired in a right foot shot inside the box that slid under Killie Keeper Alan Combe.

Simon Ford had a first half goal disallowed on the 35th minute with a close range header that was deemed to be offside, but Killie failed to test United keeper Zaluska.
Craig Conway made matters worse for Killie in 66 minutes, Combe managed to miss Robson's cross, after colliding with Martyn Corrigan, and as the ball came to Conway, the United midfielder had a free header into an empty net.

Killie managed to grab a consolation goal with their first and only attempt on target when Killie sub David Fernandez drove forward to set up Gary Wales, and the striker's low drive past Zaluska with just eight minutes remaining.
Dundee Utd managed to hold on for a deserved victory as Killie slump to one victory in the last thirteen games.
