Jim Jefferies Match Comments

Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies saw his side gift Aberdeen their first and third goals, as Momo Sylla's foul on Chris Clark allowed Nicholson to score from the spot, before Combe's throw-out hit the back of Mackie's head and the ball bounced into the net.
But although Combe conceded three and made a horrendous mistake in hitting Mackie with the ball, Jefferies refused to criticise his goalkeeper.

The Killie boss said: "The third goal was just a freak and it is hard for Alan because he made two great saves in the first half.
"Then he gave away a goal where in his efforts to get the ball out quickly, he obviously misjudged things."

Jefferies was frustrated at his team's all-round performance though, particularly because they looked a long way from the team who were only denied a draw with Celtic last weekend by Shunsuke Nakamura's injury-time free-kick.
He said: "The third goal probably summed up the game for us, because at no time did we reach the heights of our previous performances.

"We were up for the game last week and put on a great show, so we should have been up for it this week, but that is what happens when you aren't.
"We have good players, but we still have to go out and make things happen and if we don't do that in the three remaining games, we will end up with the same results."
