Killie's long-serving defender Freddie Dindeleux confirmed that he agreed to a drop in salary to stay at Rugby Park.

"It's a good club to be at, I'm settled and so is my family. I'm looking forward to the new seaon. Last year we were as good as any going forward."

Unsurpisingly, Freddie enjoyed France's victory over some wee team in Euro 2004. "I didn't watch the match as I was at Jerome Vareille's wedding, but it is a good way to beat them."

It is apparent how much Scotland has affected the Frenchman as he wore a kilt to the wedding. "There were a few people dancing on the tables when result came through."

"I played with Robert Pires in an Under 21 tournament. He was always a stand-out player who would go on to big things. I know Dado Prso as well from France. I believe he will be a good signing for Rangers but hopefully he won't score against us."
