Oumar Bakari's eye-catching displays against Leicester City and Derby County have secured a permanent move to Rugby Park.

The Frenchman is likely to ease Jim Jefferies defensive headache and step straight into the side for Killie's opening match at Hibernian on Saturday.

His compatriot Mikael Wolski limped out of a closed door match against Partick Thistle, but has impressed the management enough to keep his chance alive. He will be invited back for another trial when he is fully fit, with both parties keen to seal the deal leaving Frederic Patouillard out in the cold, as the club could only finance deals for two.

Bakari's signature will give Killie fans a boost as he became an instant hit with two dynamic, dominant displays at the heart of defence.
