BROWN BLASTS "GUTLESS" SQUAD

Kilmarnock assistant manager Billy Brown gave his players a public dressing down following Saturday's stagnant dislplay against Livingston.

Brown took the unusual step of taking the squad out onto the rain-soaked pitch and lambasted their "gutless, spineless" display.

He and manager Jim Jefferies were furious that the team had ignored their warnings ahead of the match. "The last thing we told them was that Livingston would come out and scrap and we would have to match them. Against teams at the top they work hard and show the application required, but seem to think that they don't have to agains the teams at the bottom."

Kilmarnock have a game against a team fllying high when they travel to Pittodrie on Saturday to take on Aberdeen and must look to take something from the match in order to avoid being cut adrift from the teams in the top half of the table.
